paragraph 1

E4 own by Chanel 4 which is publicly own and funded by the commercial broadcaster, the channel doesn't receive any public funding and  remitted to be innovative, experimental and distinctive. Chanel 4 was launched on the 2nd of November 1982, under the Broadcasting act 1981.

E4 lanced as a pay TV companion to the channel 4 on the 18 of January 2001, the "E" stand for Entertainment and the channel is mainly aimed at 15-35 higher class age groups.


The well known program that shows on this Chanel are How I Meet Your Mather, The Big Bang Theory, Skins, Misfits and The Inbetweeners. As the Channel shows more of comedies(sarcastic comedies feature film) then serious feature films/series, it's show that the primary target audiences for this channel are teenager to middle age group age between 15-30, male, British  and American  because some younger audiences may not understand the joke and older audiences may think the jokes are stupid. Logically everyone knows that females are more mature in which mean they wouldn't enjoy this film genre as much as male do.Some joke will only appear when it come to the standard used of English and certain programs are made in the US. However they are certain program that are show other genre such as Hollyorks and Shamless which could related to the secondly target audiences; British, American,male, female the age between 30-60.

Other then the E4, Channel 4 also owns 4seven, Film4, More4, 4music and 4od; which have a different ages group of primary target audience. Therefore the benefit of the channel 4, this mean channels 4 had an extrea,ly wild range of target audiences.

Paragraph 2

E sting is an ident for a channel 4 which shows 10 seconds media text and are usually are animations. It's shows on the E4 before the program starts, therefore catching audiences attention and keep reminding them that they are now on the E4. E sting is also a competition that entered by the public which is a good opportunity to have your work shows and as if you win the completion your will be rewarded with prize. There is 3 mains rules which have to be strictly follows to be able to enter your work into the competition which are ;it must to be 10 seconds exactly, it have to have E4 logo in it and it must not have any inappropriate feature in it example racism, violent, nudity and bad language.

Covert Reception

Covert reception is a live action stop motion media text feature showing 2 businesses man in the scene, both have an old television as their head. I could referred that as E4 has been in the business for a very long time. When one of the man passes the case to other second man. Television screen which subjected as his face light up with the logos of E4 which could referred to when you are watching E4 channel it's given you what you never know or seen before (we don't know what is in the case). 

A Glass of E4

A glass of E4 is a live action stop motion feature which shows 3 people having a glass of milk each in the wine glass, even though the bottle of drink is blue with the sticker of E4 logo's on the side of it. I would class this feature films as "a classic" based on the clothing style, the set up and the editing of black and white but only show the colours of the E4 channel's logo to keep the audience's focus . By having milk in the wine glass it believe that it's trying to shows as the E4 channel are good for both younger and older audiences.

Sne4ze-E Sting Entry

Sne4ze-E sting Entry is a live action stop motion media text feature, it's shows a girl smelling the flower, she ended up sneezing, but the E4 logos came out from mouth as she are showing it to the camera. However she don't want to throw it away so she ended up putting it back where it came from "her mouth", and having an happy expression like you just taste something delicious. I could refer to that this feature film is showing the fact that"you don't know until you try,it's may seem not nice but you never know".

For all the chosen E4 idents mainly targeting younger audiences as the black ground music are more suitable and will appeal more to them. I would say the ethnic group for these texture is white British and american, as these video are showing the stereotype of them; Dinning table, buisness man in a suite.  The first 2 video are mainly targeting a working and middle class audiences as the look they showing but the last video are targeting under class and working class (strange media text story line). 

Praxinoscope.

This is the Praxinoscope, it's one of the practicall work that we have to do in order to gain more understanding for stop motion feature film; how the scene work, how the motion is being used and what effects it gives.

Thaumatrope

Thaumatrope is a very fist piece of stop objects that I get to work on; this is to see the motion and how the stop motion is translating.  I find this very useful as it's a great start of for the understanding of the motion.


Lego Stop-Motion


This is a legos stop-motion animation within the genre of comedy, it's a practically work that giving me opportunity to despite the challenge of making stop motion on the small and easy to break subjects. This scene is about a disable guy who seen a giant spider and claw of the the chair, clawing for his life. We didn't get it finish in the end as it's has ran out of time to completed. |So, that is the reason why there is no volume/sound effect/dialog in the scene.

Live action Stop-Motion


This is a practical work of a life action stop motion animation,  it's about a guy who drink and drive in the sarcastic comedy way of telling people "don't drink and drive". At the beginning it's saying that when you are drunk you have less responsibility for your self and it's can be a danger to other people.
At the end of this video, therefore giving the audiences extra information that this guy live for almost a thousand year until on day he drink and drive.

What will I be using for my E-sting
After all the practical works and research on the live stop motion, legos stop motion, claymation and objects stop motion; I decide that i'm going to produce live stop motion as it's easier on my opinion and can make a great media text withing the less effort on editing and taking picture. I find it interesting to make as you are able create thing that you are un able to do in real life. Also I believe that I could make a great stop-motion withing the time that's given.
