Single camera production diary
The single camera production had divided into three section which is pre-production paper work, filming and editing. At the very first start we been put in the group of three. James Reeve, Duncan Whyte and I pick the script which do able and start cutting off one by one and left me 2 stories which is "24" a science fiction, romantic drama and time traveler story produces by my self and "Scheme" A teenager tificult comedy, produced by Jack Hunt (student in the same class). We decided to used "Scheme" as our shorts because "24" have an issue on the actor. We start off with checking location and pre-production paper work include talent release, location recce etc. Next we start to think about the way to fit the story line around our abilities. Withing a few issue in the scene we divide it in to 3 section and decided that we will take each part and taking all over control of the section that we decided to take. James chose to take control at the start of the scene, Duncan taken control of the middles part of the story when I was taking part on the ending. We discuss what could be change and what can still be doing and rewrite the whole scene, actor but still keeping the same story line.
After the change of the script we starts on our story board,pre-production paper work and researching for the location which we do it together.
On the second state we starts to film our production, decided on on main problem which is the weather and the available time for certain location. During to filming we are also taking part of the editing because of certain period of time there is a weather and the allowance of the location problem, so instead of wasting our time and do nothing we decided to used these time to looks at the footage. When we finally finish our filming we use 1 Mac per person in our groups to edit the scene we given to take care off. While we are on this section we are still communicating to ask for ideas and other scene that we are unsure off for example music back ground that will need to run through the whole scene. Duncan scene are the latest to finish filming so I decided to taken care of the credits while James is working on the opening of the scene.
At the very end we ask our teacher to help and critique our production so we make change to the scene. While we making change to the scene we have done re-shoot certain footage using close up do it's dislocating the location.
